Important

Any damage to the equipment or the facility will be covered by the person paying for the studio rental. A credit card will be required to be on file to cover those damages. Remote

How Does Remote Shooting Work?

We do everything over the Internet. You will need to install one piece of software to be able to control our computer remotely. Everything else occurs locally.

Our Canon 5D MkIII camera is tethered to our MacBook Pro. We use Phase One Capture One (latest version) to capture the images. Capture One provides you with the ability to modify camera settings and capture images. All of the images are saved to an external SSD in RAW form (unless you specifically want to shoot in JPEG).

We will provide you with an assistant to physically move lights and props, change light settings, and take care of whatever other needs you might have.

What you will see is a remote view of our computer screen, including the images you have captured in Capture One. We will have a phone set up so that you can communicate with the model and with us and also see the model. It will be set up so that you see almost the same thing as you’d see through the camera.

When you’re done, we upload all of the captured images for you to download.

Lighting Design

We recommend that you use the free site “The Online Lighting Diagram Creator” at http://www.lightingdiagrams.com/Creator. This will save you time during your session and enable the assistant to set up the lights as close as possible to your desire.

Models and Clients

If you have a model you’d like to work with, we can help you arrange everything on a date and at a time that works for you and the model. Since this is a working studio, we’ll coordinate with everyone’s schedule. We’ve worked with quite a few of the models in the area.

If you have a client you want to photograph, we’ll assist you in whatever ways work for you and your brand.
